EcoQuest is the wildlife geography game: you find real places on a world map, meet the species that live there, and play in the browser at ecoquest.app. This page covers what the game is, the conservation pledge behind it, and how to reach us.
Wonder first
Most of us can name a hundred brands but not one endangered reef. EcoQuest exists to tip that balance back — one Mystery Zone at a time.
EcoQuest is the wildlife geography game — a geography and ecology guessing game you play in your web browser at ecoquest.app. Each zone is a real place: a reef, a rainforest, a polar sea. You hunt it down on the world map with a handful of pins, then meet the creatures that live there — the walking shark, the golden jellyfish, the tortoise that outlives centuries — and collect their species cards as you learn.
We built it on a simple belief: people protect what they love, and they love what they know. Nobody falls in love with a statistic. They fall in love with a place.
What the game is (and isn't)
EcoQuest is a
digital game — there is no physical product and nothing is shipped. It's free to start: ten trail zones, followed by Explorer Trail mastery. They are free to play forever, as a guest, with no account required. The tenth stop stays a surprise until you reach it. Beyond those, four biome expeditions (Forests of the World, Sunlit Waters, The Wild Ocean, and Peaks, Plains & Deserts) are available as
one-time purchases that unlock instantly in your account and stay yours — no subscription, no recurring charge, no in-game currency. Wild Australia is a separate one-time purchase. Full details and prices are on the
pricing page.
Accounts are optional. An account saves your progress and is tied to an email address. You can add an explorer name. Gameplay saved on the account is personal information. Accounts are for players aged 13 and over.
Play funds protection
Rachamim Labs gives 25% of revenue from every EcoQuest map pack to WildArk. WildArk connects that funding with the Mayh (Species) Recovery Program, delivered by the Indigenous-led Karrkad Kanjdji Trust in Arnhem Land.
Revenue means the map-pack price, after refunds, and does not include the tax added at checkout. Paddle's fee is not taken out before the 25% is calculated.
This is a studio commitment. It is not a tip or something added at checkout. You pay the price on the
pricing page. Projects and amounts transferred are on the
Impact page. We do not claim that a purchase saved a species, a hectare, or a ranger post.
How we choose the species and places
The pledge is one half of how we try to be useful. The other half is where the game points people's attention in the first place.
EcoQuest is built place-first. You find a location before you meet anything that lives there, which is the opposite of how most wildlife content works. That is deliberate, and it follows published conservation science. Research led by Macquarie University with The Nature Conservancy, Oxford University and the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (McGowan et al., Nature Communications, 2020) found that choosing conservation sites which contain a well-known, charismatic species still retains 79 to 89 percent of the biodiversity benefit of choosing sites on biodiversity grounds alone, and up to 97 percent across the highest-return sites.
In other words, the famous animal is a door into a place, and the place is where the living things are. So the species in EcoQuest are chosen, not just collected. Alongside the animals most people already love, we deliberately feature species that have every quality that makes a flagship work and no campaign behind them at all: the bay cat, the white-backed vulture, the Malayan sun bear, the marbled murrelet.
Two things worth being straight about. Our conservation giving supports habitats and the organisations working in them, and is not tied to any individual animal shown in the game. And featuring a species in EcoQuest is an editorial choice about what is worth knowing. It is not a claim that our giving has protected that species.
Who runs EcoQuest
EcoQuest is built and operated by Rachamim Labs Pty Ltd, a venture studio registered in New South Wales, Australia (ACN 700 315 868). The studio site is rachamimlabs.com.
Payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), our merchant of record and authorised reseller. When you buy a pack, Paddle handles the checkout, charges you, collects any applicable taxes, and issues your receipt. For receipts, invoices, or payment-method questions you can also contact Paddle directly — but for anything about your EcoQuest account or a refund, email us and we'll take care of it.
Contact and support
We're a small team and we read every message. For anything about the game, your account, a purchase, or the pledge:
Email: support@ecoquest.app
We aim to reply within two business days.
When you write to us about a purchase, it helps to include:
•
the email address on your EcoQuest account, and

your Paddle order or receipt number (it's in the confirmation email Paddle sent you).
We can help with questions about how EcoQuest works, trouble unlocking or accessing a pack you bought, refund requests (see the
Refund & Cancellation Policy), account and login problems, privacy requests — access, correction, or deletion of your data (see the
Privacy Policy) — and anything that doesn't feel right: bugs, content concerns, or feedback.
